(Stephanie and her children, Cooper and Ava)

Where are you attending school and what is your major?
I attend U of A, E-versity. My major is Health Care Management.

What is one of your favorite parenting moments?
I love how happy my kids are to see me when we have been apart.

What is something you wish someone had told you before having kids?
I wish someone would have told me to FINISH COLLEGE!

What are some of your favorite hobbies as a family?
We love to be outside! My kids love to go hiking and to the lake.

What are some of your biggest challenges?
Trying to find the time to do everything that needs to be done. It can be difficult to work, do my homework, and be a good mom. I feel guilty at times when I have to focus on homework instead of playing with my kids.

How did you hear about SPSF NWA?
When I decided to go back to school, I was researching scholarships and resources and found SPSF NWA’s website.

What made you decide to go back to school/go to school for the first time?

I knew I had to finish my degree to be able to provide the best life for my kids.

How has being home during COVID-19 impacted you?

Although I am enjoying the extra time at home with my kids, being home during COVID-19 has been challenging at times. It has been challenging to work on my kids’ schoolwork with them, do my homework, and continue to go into work myself.

Other than financially, what impact has SPSF NWA made on your life?

SPSF NWA has provided support and resources I would not have found alone. It is wonderful to have an additional support system that understands the difficulties of being in school at this stage of life.

What would you like to say to SPSF NWA supporters?

THANK YOU! Your support of SPSF NWA is life changing for so many. Your support not only provides the opportunity to pursue educational goals, but it also allows our children to see how important education is.
