Make a Donation
Scholarships are funded by donations from individuals, local businesses, civic and community groups, churches, and private foundations.
Also, because a grant from a private family foundation covers salaries and the majority of facilities and marketing expenses, donations to Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas go directly to scholarships and support for single parent families. That means your gift makes the maximum impact!

Endow a Scholarship
Named endowed scholarships are a meaningful way to ensure the gift of education for years to come. You may designate the scholarship in your own name or as a tribute to a friend or loved one, and you can establish the criteria for the student you wish to receive your scholarship. The minimum gift for a named endowed scholarship is $25,000 and you can add gifts of any amount to existing endowments.
Endowed scholarships can be established with a gift of cash or securities; with a pledge to be paid overtime; or through a planned giving vehicle such as a will or bequest. The choice is up to you. If you decide to create an endowment, Single Parent Scholarship Fund will work with you to develop a formal record of your intent for the endowment’s purpose. Your gift will then be added to SPSF’S permanently restricted endowment fund, a professionally managed and diversified investment fund.
Endowed scholarships are awarded and recognized annual at the Pathway to Prosperity Endowed Scholarship event. This event provides a unique opportunity for donors to meet the students and the families that their gift is helping and to see firsthand the impact of their contribution.

Give a Gift of Stock
If you are thinking about making a donation to SPSF NWA, you might want to consider making a gift of appreciated stock or mutual fund shares rather than a cash donation. A gift of appreciated property often provides increased tax benefits, along with the satisfaction of contributing to a cause you believe can make a difference. To make a gift of stock, simply inform your broker of the quantity and type of shares you’d like to contribute to SPSF NWA, and the month and year you’d like to make that transfer.
