THANK YOU!
Thank you for making our 2020 VIRTUAL Jingle Mingle such a success!
Though we were not able to gather in person this year, we still had an amazing night.
Thank you for making this year’s Virtual Spark of Hope a huge success!
Over 450 scholarship recipients, alumni, and contributors gathered online for the program, emceed by Jaclyn House from Fox 24/KNWA and Jake McBride from KIX 104.
SPSF NWA current scholarship recipient Lisa Luhrs shared her triumphs and goals as a single parent scholarship recipient. Lisa shared her gratitude to the supporters who have helped her along the way:
“SPSF NWA is an organization that helps single parents in so many ways. The financial support I receive is invaluable to reaching my education goals, but for me it is so much more than money. It is an organization with a group of donors and volunteers that genuinely care about us single parents and truly want to help us succeed in changing our lives. “
The prestigious Spark of Hope awards were presented to David and Elaine Longer for Individual Support, Centennial Bank as Community Partner, and Pharmavite/NatureMade for Corporate Support. Each award recipient received hand painted and sculpted ceramic bowls by current SPSF NWA recipient McKenna Hussey.
This year’s event raised a total of $76,317.00 for scholarships for single parent families.
This year’s event was sponsored in part by Citiscapes, Cox Communications, KNWA/Fox 24, iHEART Media

I am happy to share that the state of Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA is strong! Our success in 2019 is because of your belief in a better, brighter Northwest Arkansas.
Our 2019 Annual Report shares a glimpse into a year of achievements. Included are the demographics and statistics of who we served and how your thoughtful donations are used. However, one document cannot truly account for each and every story of achievement that our scholars experience.
A 2019 Fall Scholarship recipient recently stated: “My degree will grant me professional opportunities, but I’ve also found my purpose; I’ve found my confidence; I’ve found myself.”
Thank you for adding to the success of Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA in 2019.
Onward to a new decade full of promise!
