The team of Greenwood Gearhart with a special Pathway to Prosperity keepsake gift created by Amber Perrodin, a local printmaking artist and alumnus of SPSF NWA

Greenwood Gearhart, an investment advisory firm in Fayetteville, has made a generous gift to Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas (SPSF NWA) to establish a named Endowed Scholarship. The Greenwood Gearhart Endowed Single Parent Scholarship will be awarded and acknowledged at the annual Pathway to Prosperity event hosted by SPSF NWA, with priority given to students majoring in Finance, Accounting or Economics.

SPSF NWA helps low-income single parents pursue a post-secondary education as a way of building a better quality of life for their children. When corporate and foundation funding shifted, the organization reached out to the NWA community, which responded favorably to the Pathway to Prosperity Endowment Campaign. Thanks in large part to the Greenwood Gearhart support, SPSF NWA successfully reached a $3 million goal for endowment. With a three to five year pledge payout period, SPSF NWA anticipates having the full $3 million received and invested by 12/31/21. The investment earnings will sustain the annual scholarship budget by providing 1/3 of the income needed to fund scholarships.

The team of Greenwood Gearhart were pleased to take part in the effort to sustain SPSF NWA and shared, “As an organization, we are passionate about contributing to our community in meaningful ways. We firmly believe in the mission of SPSF NWA and are honored to be a part of providing access to education for single parents in the region now and in the years to come.”
