SPSF NWA Announces New Executive Director
Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA is excited to announce the selection of Tyler B. Clark as its new Executive Director. Clark will fill the vacancy created by Jody Dilday, who accepted a new role at Arkansas Community Foundation. The decision was made after a regional search by a selection committee, made up of members of SPSF NWA’s board of directors. Board Chairman, Matt Hicks said, “The board is excited about Tyler’s hire and looking forward to the future of the organization under his leadership.”
Clark comes to the organization after serving as the Community Development Director of Community Clinic since 2011. Additionally, he’s served in roles at The Jones Center and Credit Counseling of Arkansas (CCOA), totaling 15 years of non-profit experience in Northwest Arkansas. Other notable items on his resume include:
- Association of Fundraising Professionals: President-Elect, National Philanthropy Day Chair, 2017; Previous Board Secretary and Treasurer, 2014-2016
- The Cancer Challenge: Marketing Chair, 2010-2017
- Komen Ozark: Team Chair, Race for the Cure, 2009- 2017
- Springdale Chamber of Commerce: Ambassador, 2014-present
- Community Health Center of Arkansas: Grassroots Advocate of the Year, 2014
- National Association of Community Health Centers: Elizabeth Cooke Grassroots Advocate, 2017
- Former Board and Leadership Roles: Jones Center Board Member and Treasurer, 2000-2005; Arts Live Theatre Board Member and Treasurer, 2008-2012; Fayetteville Metro Kiwanis Club Member, Board Member and Walter Zeller Fellow, 2010-2015
- Volunteer: American Heart Association, Children’s Safety Center
Clark added, “the focus of this organization will remain the same: support scholarships, students and families. I will be engaging staff, board members, supporters and students in a comprehensive ‘listening tour’ my first few weeks on the job. I am looking forward to this opportunity.”
