Endow a Scholarship
Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas is grateful for the generous support it receives from individuals, corporations and private foundations in our community. As stewards of these resources, we utilize contributions to fund scholarships; which is at the heart of our mission.
Administrative costs such as staff salaries are covered thanks to a very generous grant from a private foundation which means that YOUR GIFT goes directly to support scholarships and student programs.
- An endowment is a permanent gift in which the principal donation is invested and a portion of the earnings are distributed annually for a purpose of your choice, whether to fund a scholarship or support student programs. You may designate the fund in your own name or as a tribute to a friend or loved one. The minimum gift for a named endowment is $25,000. However, you can add gifts of any amount to existing endowments.
- An endowment can be established with a gift of cash or securities; with a pledge to be paid over time; or through a planned giving vehicle such as a will or bequest. The choice is up to you. If you decide to create an endowment, Single Parent Scholarship Fund will work with you to develop a formal record of your intent for the endowment’s purpose. Your gift will then be added to SPSF’S Endowment Fund, a professionally managed and diversified investment fund.
- Endowed scholarships are awarded and recognized annual at the Pathway to Prosperity Endowed Scholarship Luncheon. The luncheon provides a unique opportunity for donors to meet the students and the families that their gift is helping and to see firsthand the impact of their contribution. In addition to our General Scholarship Endowment, Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas has several named endowed scholarships.
